Tasks

-Assist Construction Managers with coordination issues in the field. -Manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines -Ensure drawings comply with building regulations and architectural standards -Read architectural drawings, mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment layouts, and piping plans. -Research CAD drafting / designing best practices -Prepare documents to a level consistent with set quality standards while maintaining project schedules -Check finished drawings against markup and CAD Standards -Analyze available information to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete design drawings -Take responsibility for the development and coordination of small drawings sets. -Work with client and engineering disciplines to define requirements in the preparation of design and construction documents -Create design drawings with CAD software both in 2D and 3D formats, at the direction of Engineers and more Senior Designers -Coordinate with Designers, Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers to produce design drawings per project specifications.

What You Bring

-Revit and Inventor experience a plus -Work with BIM360, Navisworks and MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), CAD, AutoCAD 2020 and Plant 3D -Travel to client construction sites will be required of this position, approximately 20% of the year. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Design or a related field. -Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times. -Experience with design of Food and Beverage processes a plus -GPA = 3.0 (minimum) -Work or school experience in a computer-aided drafting and design setting -Up to 20% travel required to visit project site and other offices. -Work or school experience in AutoCAD, Plant3D, CADWorx or similar programs
