Software Engineer (Back End Developer)

Develop back-end software for next-gen military tech, using Java, microservices, and Agile.

Tasks

-Follow Agile Development processes through full life cycle development. -Communicate project statuses and barriers effectively. -Lead independent technical investigations. -Provide technical advice and recommend solutions. -Interface with geographically dispersed development teams. -Prioritize activities to deliver projects on time and within budget. -Assist in integrating program functionality into new baselines.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket). -Experience with JavaScript and Node.js. -Ability to apply mathematical and statistical operations towards software algorithms. -Proficiency in writing REST web services. -Experience with build ecosystems such as Maven, Gradl, and Jenkins. -Rudimentary Linux and Windows System Administration skills. -Experience with various IDEs such as VSCode and Netbeans. -Experience in military intelligence and imagery or strategic planning. -Proficiency in a variety of database types (SQL, NoSQL, GeoSpatial, etc.). -Bachelor's Degree in a STEM program or equivalent work experience. -Top Secret Security Clearance. -Experience with automated testing tools such as Junit and Selenium. -Advanced proficiency in Object-Oriented Design and Programming. -Understanding of networking and network troubleshooting. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to operate in a team environment. -Experience with event and messaging streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ. -Active Clearance or Ability to obtain a final Secret Clearance. -Experience with architecture and design of back-end software applications. -Experience writing microservices using the Spring Boot framework. -Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. -Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Command and Control (C2) Systems.
