Tasks
As a Helm Project Assistant you will support Project Managers in delivering infrastructure and utility projects, including traffic signals, roadway lighting, and electrical distribution. Responsibilities include procurement, scheduling, documentation, budgeting support, and resource coordination for public sector clients. This position is for our electrical division which is responsible for the Power, Wiring, and Lighting scopes of work for new construction projects as well as remodel work in buildings such as K-12 schools, hospitals and associated healthcare buildings, high-rise buildings, and other commercial and industrial building types. This role is located in our Loves Park, IL office. -Submit daily and weekly schedules to customers -Maintain change order logs and documentation -Review vendor and subcontractor invoices -Support project budget reviews and tracking -Prepare and manage submittals and material compliance documentation -Support procurement processes and track materials -Assist in the RFI (Request for Information) process -Implementation of all Safety requirements. -Assist in quantity takeoffs and material buyouts -Assist with project resource allocation

What You Bring
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment -Minimum 1 year of experience at a U.S. construction firm is preferred -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering -Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. -Effectively understands and sets priorities. -Resourceful and solution-oriented -Excellent communication and organizational skills -Critical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset. -Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, & Teams. -Strong accounting and budgeting knowledge
