The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and leadership and functions.
The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial delivery of a significant FM service contract within EQUANS Sustainable Facilities Management Division and support other contracts in the wider portfolio as required. They will provide contract commercial management and profit improvement, risk and opportunity management along with focus on compliance. In addition they may be required to support growth within on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts in the region.
Holding collective responsibility with the commercial team to improve operations and deliver against financial plans.
- Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other EQUANS colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc)
- Building strong relationships with client representatives
- Leading governance within the contracts to ensure compliance to the requirements of the contract and EQUANS’ own internal governance processes
- Management of administering variation/change control to capture revenue
- Identifying and driving risk and opportunity management
- Identifying and developing value-adding propositions to enhance the services offered/ delivered by EQUANS
- Taking a key role in the management of contractual claims / disputes with clients
- Optimising cashflow
- Leading governance within the bidding process to ensure that company requirements are complied with
- Provide day-to-day commercial support to the account management teams
- Supporting the identification, management and mitigation of risks at all levels associated with such a significant bidding process
- Enforcing commercial compliance
- Ensure commercial governance to all subcontractors

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
- Understanding and practical application of base English law applicable to contracts generally and the FM industry
- Suitable commercial experience, experience of FM contracts would be beneficial]
- PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Educated to degree/ diploma level in either Law, Business, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land)
- Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment
- Sound understanding of risk analysis/management
- Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy
- Excellent communicator
