Tasks
-Provide support in project scheduling and contribute to maintaining project schedules under the guidance of experienced team members. -Develop basic proficiency in Microsoft applications and CAD software through hands-on learning and mentorship. -Collaborate with team members to gather key project information and contribute to the documentation process. -Assist in the interpretation of architectural blueprints and project documentation to understand the basics of roofing & wall projects. -Learn and contribute to the preparation of CAD drawings and documents with guidance from experienced team members. -Work closely with architects, contractors, and other team members to learn about effective communication and collaboration in a professional setting.

This position is ideal for individuals in the Portland, Maine area who are seeking hands-on experience in interpreting blueprints, scheduling projects, gathering key information, and preparing documents. The intern will work closely with architects, contractors, outside sales representatives, and tapered estimators, developing valuable skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment. While prior experience is beneficial, candidates with a passion for learning and a basic understanding of Microsoft applications and CAD software are encouraged to apply. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Software Proficiency: -Actively pursuing an Associate’s or Technical Degree in Drafting, Construction Design, Construction Technology, Mechanical Drafting, or similar -Fax Machines -Introduction to Revit and Construction (Desired): -Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software. -Currently pursuing a degree in CAD technology, architecture, or a related field. -Several years of verifiable hands-on experience with CAD technology -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
