Overview

Assist craft workers with physical tasks, operating tools and preparing construction sites.

Tasks

-Operate hand or power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment or other as required. -Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. -Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing and returning them to the appropriate locations; install or remove signage, railings, or other various hardware. -Assist in erecting or dismantling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. -Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

What You Bring

-Experience operating required hand and power tools -Strong reading, written and verbal communication skills in English, verbal communication in Spanish considered an asset but not required -High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required -If certified, operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, bobcat. -6 months experience working as a commercial or industrial construction laborer
