Tasks

-Coordinate approval of sub-consultant and sub-contractor billing. -Consistent collection follow-up and recording of efforts attributable to clients regarding open receivables with clearly document processes undertaken for collections -Prepare sub-consultant agreements and coordinate execution. -Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM)\ Principals-in-Charge (PIC) regarding contract documents, change orders, contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services related to billing. -Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing w PIC or Division leader approval -Prepare special project analyses for the PICs, PMs, and others as requested. -Prepare invoice package containing for billable projects, including all applicable backup; ensure completeness of materials sent to the client -Effectively communicate with Project Managers monthly regarding the financial status of projects, contract modifications, and client invoicing requirements -Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconciliation -Work with the Accounting team when needed to reconcile variances that occur during the application of cash -Set up new projects within established timelines -Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period. -Maintain billing folders for all projects, including all source documents, expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices -Enter approved budget and billing terms, as presented in contract\proposal documents

What You Bring

-3-4 years experience in billing and receivables, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction environment -Knowledge of standard contract terms, including hourly, lump sum, and not-to-exceed and how they are applied in the billing process -Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment -Bachelor’s Degree or some college courses in accounting or business are preferred -Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software -Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities -Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion -Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report issues to management when necessary -Strong service orientation -Experience with Deltek software is a plus
