Tasks

-Inform policy, forecast electricity supply, and investigate system changes -Contribute to the modelling and analysis of the electricity market today and into the future -Electricity market modelling and analysis -Contribute to ensuring electricity system reliability -Communicate the insights of your work to colleagues, senior staff and external stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions -Inform policy, forecast electricity supply, and investigate system changes that will enable new technology to be deployed across the power system

What You Bring

-Excellent written and oral communication skills, including documentation skills and ability to present technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way -Ability to work with ambiguity and solve problems with missing information -Deliver effective analytical expertise and support, you will be able to prioritise work including projects, whilst demonstrating agility, flexibility and resilience in assessing often fluid situations that sometimes require answers at short notice -A bachelor's (or higher) degree in mathematics, science, engineering, economics, operations research or a related field is a requirement of the role. -Good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities -An inquisitive and analytical mind -Skilled in using Python and Power BI
