PMCS Group are looking for a Project Controls Specialist III (Cost Analyst) to support major capital construction programs in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control procedures throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Review and analyze financial reports to identify risks and forecasting issues
  • Generate customized financial and schedule reports for stakeholders
  • Oversee and validate financial documents including task orders, amendments, and budget transfers
  • Manage Estimates to Complete (ETCs), including change order proposals and vendor requests
  • Perform detailed cost variance analysis and prepare monthly reconciliation reports
  • Track spending trends and evaluate effectiveness of mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop funding strategies and rebaseline projects
  • Monitor changes, assess risks, and recommend cost mitigation strategies
  • Maintain and manage project budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyze schedule impacts on project costs in coordination with scheduling teams

Are you an experienced cost analyst with a background in construction project controls?

  • Adaptable and team-oriented, with a commitment to professional conduct
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Proliance and Deltek Costpoint a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in project controls on construction programs
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and change management
