Emission Calibration Engineer

Overview

Calibrate engine control systems to meet emission, fuel economy, power, and OBD standards.

Tasks

-Perform software logic and value confirmation activities -Complete engine calibration in accordance with procedures to meet regulations and other performance targets ( emission, fuel economy, power, drivability and OBD) -Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet development deadlines -Conduct vehicle testing and development under various tolerance conditions and extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, high altitude) -Build successful relationship with calibration technician group -Test preparation, data collection, data analysis , and technical report creation on a regular basis

What You Bring

-Experience working well in a culturally diverse environment -Advanced engineering degree -Experience calibrating engine controls for markets other than the US (Japan, Europe, China, etc.) -Experience with Model-Based Design processes -Thorough understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice -Experience with other programming languages such as Python, VBA, etc. -Emissions calibration experience in conventional and/or hybrid powertrain -Calibration of engine control (EFI/OBD) for North America and global markets -Excellent driving record -A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering -Proficiency in MS Project -Understanding of Emission and OBD regulations for US and other markets -Proficiency in MS Office -Complete required internal training necessary for job execution (Technical, Driving, etc.) -Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ programming languages -Experience investigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutions
