Assistant Superintendent

Overview

Assist superintendent in managing field operations for large multifamily projects.

Key Responsibilities

• daily reporting
• subcontractor management

Tasks

-Complete daily reports, punch lists, QA sheets, safety audits and observations, etc. -Establish a spirit of partnering with subcontractors but demand that they perform in a manner that will contribute to the success of the project. -Long-Term Planning/Preparation/Logistics: identify long lead time production items, communicate with team members, consider production/delivery time. -Review project plans, requirements, submittals and specifications. -Subcontractor and Labor Management: Communicate with subcontractors expectations, monitor progress and quality. -Partner with Project Superintendent to ensure project success. -Manage project budget by holding subcontractors accountable for work performed. -Understand and Manage Inspection process -Enforce and maintain a safe and clean jobsite. -Ensure material and equipment are delivered to the jobsite in a timely manner. -Ensure that work progresses according to schedule.

What You Bring

-Must be proactive and work with a sense of urgency. -Ability to effectively coordinate, organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results. -Demonstrates solid communication skills. -Demonstrates basic knowledge using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as email, internet, Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office) and Procore project management software. -Understand flow of work & scheduling, assist in schedule, sequencing, logistics and safety plan. -2-5 years of construction experience. -Ability to build relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and municipalities that lead to positive outcomes. -Ability to maintain focus while working in a high level, fast paced environment.
