Overview

Perform routine electrical testing, maintain lab equipment, and support certification activities.

Tasks

-Supporting in the planning and implementation of test plans. -Assisting external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB or external customer products. -Coordinating maintenance activities related to the equipment and tools used in the laboratory. -Identifying and suggesting solutions related to product non-conformities.

What You Bring

-Practical workshop experience with common tools such as lathe, mill, CAD, etc. -Strong willingness to learn technical content in a multi-faceted research environment -Practical testing experience with electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronics power supplies, source meters, etc. -Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience in the electrical technical field -Ability to efficiently manage time and coordinate priorities across multiple projects -Experience with Medium Voltage terminations and connections -Ability to follow maintenance schedules on various equipment -Associate’s degree with 5 years’ experience in the electrical technical field -Familiarity with OSHA regulations is preferred, with an emphasis on electrical safety. -Ability to diagnose and repair machinery safely and proficiently -Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. -Candidates must already have work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the United States -Experience with electrical equipment switching, Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear and Breakers -Experience with programming automation devices, such as PLCs, SIL PLCs, National Instrument data acquisition (DAQ) devices, thermocouples DAQs, etc.
