Tasks

-Partner with building owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to support accessibility compliance and best practices. -Collaborate with in-house accessibility consultants, multidisciplinary engineers, and specialty consultants to deliver comprehensive solutions. -Support and collaborate with the accessibility consulting team across multiple regions. -Contribute to business development efforts, including building client relationships and identifying new opportunities. -Provide plan review services throughout the design process, from schematic design to construction documentation. -Conduct accessibility compliance inspections for residential, commercial, and government projects. -Develop and deliver training sessions or educational presentations on accessibility topics for both internal teams and external clients. -Lead and manage client engagements across a variety of accessibility-focused projects.

What You Bring

-Willingness to travel (~15%) for client meetings, site assessments, and project collaboration. -ICC-certified Accessibility Inspector and Plans Examiner -ICC A117.1 -In-depth knowledge of accessibility-related design and construction regulations, including: -Ability to perform on-site visual assessments, including tasks that may involve climbing steps, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. -Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex accessibility requirements clearly. -Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. -State-specific building codes and accessibility standards (Direct experience with Massachusetts Architectural Access Board (MAAB) 521 CMR preferred). -Ability to self-manage projects while effectively collaborating with diverse teams. -3–10 years of experience in accessibility consulting. -International Building Code (IBC) and International Existing Building Code (IEBC) -APAC-BE (Accessibility Professional Accreditation Certification for the Built Environment) -Other state-recognized accessibility certifications
