The Role

Overview

Lead design assurance for HS2 Old Oak Common MEPHFC systems, handling requirements and compliance.

Tasks

-Support with the maintenance of the design elements of the Technical Assurance Plan (TAP) and the implementation of the processes and procedures identified therein to deliver a technically self-assured design scope in accordance with requirements of SWI 310. -Responsible for arranging and raising a Departure with BBVS, liaising with Subject Matter Experts, updating the Departures Register and reviewing any time-bound departures which may be complied with later in the project -Manage the configuration status of the technical baselines, such as a Standards Baseline to ensure the correct version is adopted by the Anthro project teams. -Developing and updating the Requirements Management Plan and for capturing, developing, and demonstrating compliance with the relevant requirements for all stakeholders. Supporting the CEM and Assurance Director in facilitating configuration and technical change management during the design stage. -Leads the identification and documenting Asset Configuration Items (Hardware and Software), assisting change management in conjunction with the CEM and Assurance Director. Responsible for creating the Configuration Status Report which lists configuration items linked to the Requirements Management Plan and the TAP. -Management of design trackers -Responsible for verifying the proposed design stage evidence intended to be submitted, meets the criteria, to ensure the design for manufacturing and construction meets the project requirements. -Management of design assurance processes and supporting with IDC/ IDR -Supporting in ensuring design meets the accepted programme -Utilising the Station Requirements Specification and the Verification and Validation Matrix issued by BBVS, develop and maintain a WP-23 specific Verification and Validation Plan and Verification and Validation Matrix (VVM) to ensure all requirements have been considered, complied with or a suitable departure has been raised and recorded against non-compliant requirements -Support the Material Engineer in ensuring that Material Approvals submitted meet the need to the TAP and associated process, standards etc. -Accountable for the planning, co-ordination, and submission and resolution of all design assurance leading to the award of a Design and Verification Certificate per system designed. -Production of meeting minutes related to design assurance -Conduct audits both of Anthro and the Anthro supply chain to ensure that the design is being carried out in accordance with relevant standards and latest issued information. -Setting validation criteria to ensure the design stage meet the intended top-level requirements and is therefore suitable to be constructed, commissioned and taken into operation. -Ensure technical documentation regarding requirements activities comply with regulatory requirements and meet the expectations of BBVS and HS2 Ltd. -Responsible for defining the Requirements to be followed within WP-23 across all levels and disciplines within Engineering including the supply chain. These are then built into a master tracker that confirms compliance with the Station Requirements Specification

What You Bring

-Experienced in the use of DOORS to manage project requirements -Previous experience leading a small team. -Management and close out of RFI’s and TQ’s -Experience planning team workload and managing deliverables. -Strong communication skills -Appropriate professional qualification or equivalent experience in System Engineering or Requirements Management -Previous experience of working on large infrastructure projects, multidisciplinary teams, in particular experience in systems engineering or rail would be an advantage
