Tasks

-Takes ownership and shows initiative in delivering high-quality work. -Project Delivery: Managing traffic engineering design and/or analysis tasks or projects of varying degrees including scope, schedule, budget, Quality Management, and financial management with the ability to stamp project plans. -Talent Management: Assist the Smart Mobility team to attract, develop, and retain top talent. -Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and task leadership for transportation projects and collaborate with Smart Mobility leaders in other markets and across DEA’s diverse business units, markets, and technical practices to assist with staffing to fulfill project and business development opportunities. -Staff Development: Promote employee development, provide mentoring and training for junior staff. -Business Development: Assist in cultivating and maintaining effective client relationships to support business development opportunities.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in traffic engineering, demonstrating hands-on expertise in traffic engineering design and analysis. -Experience training others in fundamentals of traffic design tasks -Recent and relevant project experience with Caltrans District 8 or 12 with delivery of complex transportation infrastructure -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an accredited institution. -Collaborative team player who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. -Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field -Experience leading project teams -Current Professional Civil (PE) License in California.
