Traveling Superintendent (Healthcare Construction)

Tasks

-Partner with the Project Manager, trade contractors, and clients to plan and execute the work. -Lead project coordination meetings, resolve field conflicts, and maintain momentum toward milestones. -Review drawings and specifications for constructability, sequencing, and logistics. -Manage site logistics, including traffic flow, storage, and staging areas. -Oversee safety programs, enforce ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) procedures, and ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards. -Complete accurate daily reports, track progress, and identify potential risks or delays. -Represent Christman on-site daily, setting clear expectations and maintaining commitments. -Monitor project quality and maintain rolling punch lists to ensure excellence in delivery.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field – preferred. -Must meet healthcare client vaccination requirements. -Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) – preferred. -Strong knowledge of ICRA requirements and best practices in clinical and hospital environments. -5–10 years of commercial construction experience as a superintendent. -Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships across teams. -Proven experience leading healthcare construction projects valued at $10 million or more. -Ability and willingness to travel to project sites nationally as assignments require. -OSHA 30-Hour certification, First Aid/CPR (required).
