The Role

Overview

Oversee and manage landscape installation/maintenance crews for residential & commercial projects

Tasks

-Procure materials and track time and labor for crew and each project. -Coordinate daily tasks and lead crew members at each site to maintain highest quality standards. -Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., trucks, trailers, skid steers, mowers, trimmers, etc..). -Drive equipment and crew to various locations. -Supervise and lead a team of landscape laborers. -Ensure proper installation and maintenance is achieved for sod, seeding, plants, irrigation systems, hardscapes, lawns and any other landscape features. -Snow and Ice Management- shoveling, plowing, salting and spreading ice melt. -Maintain a safe and clean work environment. -Assist in assembling team, training new crew members and provide ongoing guidance. -Interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and specifications. -Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project managers. -Monitor job progress and quality control on-site.

What You Bring

-Ability to read and interpret landscape plans. -High school diploma or equivalent; landscaping certifications a plus. -Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation, and landscape construction. -3+ years experience driving trucks with trailers. -5+ years landscaping experience, with minimum 2 years in a supervisory role. -Valid driver’s license with good driving record (CDL preferred). -Excellent communication and leadership skills. -Pesticide Applicators License (MA and NH preferred)
