Inspect, repair, and maintain Army vehicles at a turn‑in site ensuring compliance.

Tasks

-Conduct inspections on wheeled vehicles and trailers during turn-in to verify condition, serviceability, and compliance with Army standards. -Assist with preparing vehicles for storage, shipment, or transfer to redistribution sites. -Record findings, repairs, and maintenance actions on DA Form 2404, DA Form 5988-E, or automated maintenance records (e.g., GCSS-Army). -Maintain complete and accurate maintenance logs in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS. -Support maintenance and readiness of site-owned Material Handling Equipment (MHE) when required. -Follow all Army, OSHA, and company safety regulations while performing maintenance. -Coordinate with Supply Technicians, Inspectors, and Material Coordinators to align vehicle processing with turn-in requirements. -Ensure compliance with HAZMAT handling, spill prevention, and environmental standards. -Identify vehicles beyond economical repair and prepare documentation for turn-in or disposal. -Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on systems including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical, and braking systems. -Recommend condition codes (serviceable/unserviceable) based on inspection results. -Support audit readiness by ensuring records are updated and error-free. -Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) using Army standards and TMs. -Maintain clean and safe work areas, tools, and equipment. -Provide technical expertise during high-volume or mass turn-in events. -Conduct services such as lubrication, filter changes, tire replacement, and part swaps.

What You Bring

-Must be able to travel within the US if/when required. -Must have a Real ID. -Army maintenance regulations (AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8). -Condition code classification and Army turn-in documentation. -Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army. -Familiarity with U.S. Army maintenance procedures, PMCS, and TMs. -Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. -A valid North Carolina driver's license is required with proof of vehicle insurance. -High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training in vehicle mechanics preferred. -Effective recordkeeping and reporting skills. -Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and diagrams. -3-5 years of experience in motor vehicle maintenance (Army tactical/non-tactical vehicle experience strongly preferred). -Valid driver’s license: Army OF 346 military driver’s license preferred. -Strong teamwork and communication skills in high-tempo environments. -Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and brake system malfunctions.
