The Role

Overview

Inspect composite and machined parts, document findings, and support quality in fast-paced manufacturing.

Tasks

-Document and report findings clearly for internal teams and external stakeholders -Support on packaging and fulfillment to help move parts out the door with speed -Perform receiving inspections and verify incoming materials meet spec -Track and document non-conformances and coordinate rework and disposition -Review parts against drawings, work instructions, and inspection checklists -Collaborate with production, software, and engineering to raise quality and reduce defects -Inspect composite, machined, or assembled parts using basic measuring tools -Input inspection data into our MES (Matrix) and help refine our digital tools

What You Bring

-Familiar with 3D surface scanning, metrology software or similar tools -Able to clearly document and communicate quality issues -Proficient computer and written skills, including email communication and Microsoft Office -Familiar with AS9100 or similar QMS standards -Experience with MES, ERP, PLM, or QMS platforms -1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C -Possess a sharp eye for detail and a high standard for precision and consistency -Comfortable reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T -Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted -1+ years in quality or inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment -Be comfortable entering data quickly and accurately into systems -1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here -Know how to handle First Article Inspections from start to finish -Hands-on experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) -Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, standing for extended periods, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying in a manufacturing environment -Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment -Have an eagerness and willingness to learn and grow within a quality or manufacturing career path
