Tasks

-Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and capacity across environments. -Manage the composition, implementation, and continuous operations of core infrastructure, covering servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. -Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities remain tested and operational. -Coordinate responses to infrastructure-related security alerts and incidents, working with the Cyber Security team and other collaborators as necessary. -Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets related to infrastructure services. -Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, providing technical mentorship, workload prioritization, and professional development. -Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to ensure clear paths for handling blocking issues and smooth service delivery. -Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and asset inventories. -Run vulnerability remediation processes, including planning and patching across infrastructure systems. -Maintain standardized processes across nVent sites to ensure consistent infrastructure operations. -Lead key infrastructure initiatives, including but not limited to system upgrades, migrations, acquisition integrations, and technology modernization projects. -Address and remediate audit findings, ensuring infrastructure controls align with corporate and regulatory standards. -Define and contribute to the infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and new technologies.

We are in search of a proactive and knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the development, implementation, and operational excellence of our core infrastructure systems. Responsibilities include managing a high-performing team, championing pivotal initiatives, and maintaining secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure across our global operations. Become a part of our exceptionally ambitious team dedicated to inventing world-class solutions! -Respectful and team oriented -Server Environments: Windows (Active Directory, domain services); familiarity with Unix/Linux a plus -Shown success in leading cross-site infrastructure projects and distributed teams. -Innovative & adaptable -Ideally 15+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial position. -Collaboration Suites: M365 (Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Office) -Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V -Experience working in a large global enterprise a plus -Demonstrated understanding of IT security principles and compliance standards. -Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and lead in a collaborative environment. -Deep technical expertise in: -Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS -End User Devices: Windows PC, Virtual PC (W365), iPhone, End User Management platforms such as SCCM and InTune.

Benefits

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives. $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
