The Role

Overview

Oversee all operations, staff, compliance, and performance of a Metro Fulfillment Center.

Tasks

-Leads a team of assistant managers and supervisors, as well as full-time and part-time staff. -Oversees human resources processes for the facility including hiring, coaching, training, and performance management and disciplinary actions. -Drives productivity and operational processes, ensuring adherence to expense budgets and operational guidelines. -Oversees the daily operations and organization of the showroom floor for optimized performance. -Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. -Provides effective leadership to the MFC within a specific region, to ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA and other governmental regulatory agencies while complying with company policies concerning health and safety. -Monitors key performance indicators and implements and executes on process improvement action plans (especially for productivity and quality) to address known gaps and mitigate risk of future gaps within the MFC. -Oversees all operational and resource management personnel activities within a fulfillment center.

What You Bring

-Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines. -Experience developing and managing budgets, managing P&L, monitoring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial/operational data -Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. -Extensive knowledge of operations processes -Experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment -Supervisory or people management experience. Extensive OSHA, DOT, ADA regulatory knowledge -Senior-level experience managing multiple functional areas (e.g., receiving, shipping, QA, order filling) within a warehouse or Logistics network -Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
