Tasks

-Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for open sales positions and mentor and train new Territory Managers (development plan of 6 - 12 months). Provide periodic or temporary management responsibilities to fill in for Regional Manager. -Work with key contacts such as dealers, builders, general contractors, architects, and remodelers to effectively provide clear and valuable communication on projects, services, and market offerings for Marvin. -Regularly communicate strategic and tactical information to sales leadership regarding competitors in assigned territory and region. -Promote and coordinate factory tours and training held at corporate/flagship location in Warroad, MN -Implement strategic sales plans; develop territory budget and sales forecasts. -Involvement at a leadership level within local, regional, or national trade association to develop relationships and create brand awareness and loyalty. -Actively develop and lead key training opportunities, including providing presentations as a subject matter expert at training events in Warroad; developing training presentations and formats for unique regional requirements; being the lead trainer on new initiatives, products, technology, and company programs; and conducting educational presentations at national/regional/regional trade events. -Regularly analyze current channel partners and create plans to grow market share, either within our existing dealer base, or determine other and better ways to go to market. -Lead annual business planning and review process with channel partners to ensure results-oriented business plans. -Assist Regional Manager in the development and implementation of regional sales plans and meetings. -Develop channel partner sales team and pro trade contractors through various training, which includes market segment training and focus, sales support, technological interface tools, sales training, and product knowledge training. -Manage the job role’s expense budget. -Participate in cross functional teams or planning teams and take a leadership role on various team assignments. -Develop channel partners who will effectively cover all market segments within geography and increase Marvin’s market share.

What You Bring

-Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. -Valid driver’s license with acceptable accident and moving violation motor vehicle record -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. -Ability to work with required technology, software applications, CRM platform (Salesforce.com). -Previous experience in the fenestration or premium building material industry preferred. -Prior experience leading or mentoring others required. -Willing/able to frequently travel within designated territory which will require some overnight stays -6+ years of premium building products experience in a dealer direct territory-based outside sales environment.
