Tasks
-Enroll employees into programs and efficiently process new hire and benefit paperwork. -Take responsibility for new hire orientation and the record retention program, ensuring compliance with requirements. -Fulfill additional duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in supporting overall plant operations. -Implement and maintain departmental procedures, EEO/AA logs and reports, and personnel records, ensuring compliance. -Maintain accurate employee records, implementing robust data privacy and security processes. -Spearhead employee retention initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture. -Conduct training sessions and diligently investigate both informal and formal complaints, fostering a fair and inclusive workplace. -Provide general administrative support for daily departmental operations and training programs. -Process and track information in support of policies and benefits such as Leave of Absence, FMLA, Worker Compensation, and other leave issues. -Respond to employee and management queries regarding policies, processes, and other HR-related matters, adhering to prescribed responses. -Serve as a central point for first-tier HR inquiries, spanning benefits programs, and policies, offering support in performance management, employee grievance escalation, policy interpretation, business event implementation, workforce balancing, and new employee orientation. -Prepare and represent the organization at unemployment hearings when required. -Oversee the maintenance of personnel files and records, ensuring compliance with retention requirements. -Potentially participate in confidential investigations of complex employee relations issues. -Take charge of providing HR services and support to Arcosa managers, ensuring effective human resource management.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with UltiPro, showcasing a strong understanding of HR management systems. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and Outlook. -Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of records. -Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating skill in assessing priorities. -Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant. -Full proficiency in English and Spanish -Excellent communication skills, including strong proofreading abilities and presentation skills. -Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; or equivalent work experience. -2+ years of experience working in an HR environment, demonstrating a robust understanding of human resource practices.
