Tasks
-Ensure all colleagues are aware of the process to report any inappropriate behaviours and where to access support -Attend STEM and Careers Events -Shape & deliver our Let’s Learn About Sessions looking at Race Equality, Pride – LGBTQ awareness and Gender Identity & Gender discrimination. -Present ideas and suggestions for improvement to the managing director & HR director -Role Modelling: Exemplify the FREDIE values in all interactions, setting a positive example for colleagues -Undertake the Empowering Difference workshop -Feedback business and people updates and company and forum initiatives to colleagues -Reduce bullying and harassment (including sexual harassment) & discrimination in the workplace by ensuring everyone understands unacceptable behaviours -Support the forums (D&I, Women at AmcoGiffen & Your Voice Matters) with campaign activities and associated Dignity & Respect workplan objectives -Act as a voice for colleagues to have their ideas, suggestions and comments heard by the Leadership team -Monitoring & Evaluation: Track the effectiveness of initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement based on feedback and best practices -Create an inclusive environment where all colleagues feel safe -Ensure equal opportunities and adequate facilities and resources are in place for females in the workplace. -Feedback & Reporting: Gather feedback from colleagues regarding workplace culture and any incidents of inappropriate behaviours or discrimination, any barriers women may face or any ideas and suggestions for improvement and report findings to the appropriate forums or HR for further action -Encourage colleagues to become D&R Champions -Community Building: Foster a sense of community and belonging by assisting with organising events and initiatives that are relevant to the forums -Support & Guidance: Serve as a point of contact for colleagues to discuss issues or concerns in the workplace, providing or seeking further support and guidance as needed -Stand up and challenge disrespectful or inappropriate behaviours that do not reflect our FREDIE values -Gather feedback from colleagues regarding any concerns in the workplace -Collaboration: Work with other D&R Champions in the different forums, accredited organisations relevant to each forum, the HR team and leadership team to align initiatives and share best practices across the organisation. -Education & Training: Support the forums with organising and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and discussions on topics relevant to the associated forums. Assist in the development of resources, such as toolkits or guides, to help colleagues understand and practice dignity and respect in the workplace. -Create a safe space for females in the workplace -Provide support and guidance for female colleagues -D&R Champions provide safe support to an immediate situation by listening and signposting colleagues experiencing issues to relevant support available -Signpost colleagues to relevant information or support -Host information & support sessions for female colleagues -Contribute to our Dignity & Respect workplan helping to ensure all colleagues are aware of their responsibilities to create an inclusive culture and empowering colleagues to challenge inappropriate behaviours. -Ensure that everyone understands their responsibilities to create an inclusive workplace culture, outlining expected behaviours of all colleagues in line with SPIRIT and FREDIE values -Empower colleagues to challenge inappropriate behaviours
