Produces cost estimates using crew-based approach including formation of crews from multiple crafts.
Evaluates productivity and develops probable construction cost based on crew craft productivity and production.
Provides input to estimate basis documentation capturing assumptions, rationale, scope inclusions and exclusions for specific contributions.
Prepares portions of estimates by contacting project team and others, including vendors, to develop and apply unit rates and installation rates to quantity takeoffs and work operations within a discipline or other specialty.
Supports identification of risk items to portions of the project work; identifies measures to mitigate risk.
Provides support for special estimating and other assignments, including post-Proposal support converting the estimate to a budget (budgeting, revenue loading, data entry and collection, etc.)
Supports reporting efforts and estimate summary presentations for estimate reviews.
Performs quantity takeoffs for a discipline or commodity specialty using defined documents. Collects, reconciles, and verifies data for summary comparisons.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business management or related field OR minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
Ability to support and take guidance from project estimators or estimating managers for the development of estimates from inception to completion.
Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability to present cost information to peers and management.
Basic understanding with bid evaluations of cost and schedule criteria. May participate in discussions with procurement team members.
Demonstrates inclusive leadership and teamwork as an associate project or discipline estimator. Values diverse perspectives from teammates.
Experience in estimating, planning, or cost engineering on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in the Infrastructure industry or other heavy industrial work.
Experience using standard software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and PowerBI to assess estimating and project performance data.
Ability to ensure estimate quality and integrity, including quality data checks.
Basic knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction functions customarily acquired through experience in the EPC industry.
