Electrical Engineering Designer

Overview

Design and oversee EV charging infrastructure projects, combining office design work and field support.

Tasks

-Develop complete electrical design packages for Level 2 / DCFC EV charging installations, including site layouts, single-line diagrams, conduit and wiring plans, and load calculations. -Prepare permit-ready drawings and documentation for AHJ submissions. -Conduct electrical load analysis and service capacity evaluations to determine utility upgrade requirements. -Coordinate with construction teams during installation to ensure design intent is followed. -Ensure all designs comply with NEC, local building codes, and utility standards. -Conduct site walks to verify existing electrical infrastructure, panel capacity, grounding conditions, and charger placement feasibility. Field electrical experience preferred. -Collect field data, photos, and measurements to support accurate design and layout.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of utility service coordination, and utility metering. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred -Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam for Electrical design and mark ups. -3+ years of experience with EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) design and installation.
