The Role
Overview
Night-shift plastics technician operating extruders & ensuring production quality.

Tasks
-Contribute to the efficient production performance by maintaining the correct process conditions to achieve specified machine speed, uptime and recovery while maintaining a consistent level of quality. -Responsible for ensuring tool changes are conducted are in safe and timely manner and tooling is stored as per company procedures. -Troubleshooting process problems as they arise, following up as required if unable to solve the problem within set time frames. -Contribute to task specific training of members in own team and review of all plant processes and procedures -Implement and achieve the production plan set for the shift by TL/master scheduler -Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of equipment, systems and people by sharing process knowledge and skill. This will include suggesting improvements to ensure that documentation is promptly updated. -Set up production lines including tooling and ancillary equipment as required to ensure that extruders are run at their optimum working conditions

What You Bring
-Methodical ability to work through trouble shooting process with a high attention to detail -Forklift licence (would be advantageous) -Previous experience as a Plastics Technician is required (min 2 years) -Effective communication and decision-making skills -Excellent understanding of health/safety procedures and ERP systems -Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel
