What you would be doing

  • Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring works are carried out to specification.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities as required.
  • Manage subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily site activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Support the resolution of technical and operational issues on site.
  • Monitor progress against programme and report any delays or issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, material deliveries, and workforce logs.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., CDM, NRSWA, Water Industry Specifications).
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering and utility installation practices.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the water industry (clean water and/or wastewater).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
