Tasks
-Research applicable tax codes, union agreements, and permitting requirements that impact project costs -Assist in selecting project systems, materials, and estimating software -Maintain communication with team members, owners, architects, and engineers throughout the process -Participate in project scheduling and preconstruction planning -Conduct quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and subcontractor proposal evaluations -Prepare conceptual and detailed cost models, including self-perform work estimates -Assign and review work completed by estimating team members to ensure accuracy and completeness -Identify and select qualified subcontractors and suppliers for participation in the bidding process -Mentor, train, and evaluate junior estimators and support staff -Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) during the estimating phase -Analyze historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and benchmarking -Lead estimating efforts on large, complex, and self-performed projects -Strategically plan for estimate preparation, pricing, scheduling, and bid submission -Ensure all stakeholders understand scope, assumptions, and updates

What You Bring
A highly regarded national construction and development firm is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead complex estimating efforts. This position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Senior Estimator will oversee the preparation and coordination of detailed cost estimates for large-scale and technically challenging projects. Senior Estimator -Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) -Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills -Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude -High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail -Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously -Current driver’s license -Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as ISqFt, ICE/Bid2Win, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, and Google Earth -LEED AP or DBIA certification preferred -Strong knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and general business principles -Minimum of nine (9) years of construction experience, including at least six (6) years in estimating roles
