Tasks

-Prepare preliminary designs for clients -Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design -Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy -Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team -Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams -Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers -Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction

What You Bring

-Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is preferred -5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction -Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or ability to obtain within 12 months, is highly preferred -BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering -Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite -Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages is preferred -Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
