Tasks
Reporting to the Water Cost and Commercial Lead for the UK, your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor will involve delivering work with water companies or the Environment Agency in the Midlands area predominantly, with the opportunity to work in the North West of England in consultancy roles. However, there will be an opportunity for progression between the UK water, environment, and nuclear sectors. -Evaluation of tenders -Developing a premier capability and team; -Preparation of tender documentation -Proactively engaging with markets and suppliers; -Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders -Management and administration of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms -Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues -Payment valuation and assisting the PM in payment certification -Streamlining and enhancing operational workflows;

What You Bring
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have experience working with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and/ or Early Subcontractor Involvement (ESI) in design and build major capital programmes. At Egis, we prioritise our people, and to enhance our Water capabilities, we are looking to recruit a skilled Water Senior Quantity Surveyor to operate as part of the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre- and post-contract management in NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC and procurement within the UK water, environment, and nuclear sectors. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement and contract management. -An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts (A-C-E must have) -Main contractor and/or joint venture experience working client side -Evaluation and negotiation of change orders or variations -You must have the right to work in the UK -Valid CSCS card, with Water Hygiene Card desirable. -Site presence and co-location, minimum 4 days a week -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying -A wealth of experience postgraduate in Rail, Nuclear, Water and/ or Environment. -Line Management and recruitment experience of Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Quantity Surveyors. -CDM regulation knowledge and experience. -Full Membership of a chartered body, such as RICS or a substantively progressed route on an approved APC pathway. -NEC3/4 Option A, Option C, Option E ECC Contract management and administration client side -Risk management experience -If you live in the Midlands area and you have the skill set please reach out for a discussion -This role is subject to a client interview and acceptance
