The Role
Overview
Maintain and repair heavy equipment on yard and job sites, traveling as needed.

Tasks
-Operate/maneuver heavy equipment on site in a safe and effective manner -Operate and test equipment after repair -Effectively communicate equipment issues with supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction -Accurately order needed parts from vendors when necessary -Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored when not in use. -Maintain a safe shop work environment -Check daily to ensure equipment functions properly and in a safe manner

What You Bring
-Cell Phone and work iPad provided -Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization -Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair including but not limited to electrical, hydraulic, tracks, diesel engines and transmissions for a variety of construction equipment and crane types -Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment -Thorough knowledge of equipment and safety processes used in commercial, civil and/or marine construction -Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills -Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency -Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills -Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record -Exhibit strong work ethic, teamwork, customer service, verbal, and written skills -Necessary tools to perform the work assigned -TWIC credentials and CDL preferred -Ability to complete daily activities according to work schedule -Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds -5+ years’ experience with a large construction company as a heavy equipment mechanic -Ability to weld and fabricate preferred -Knowledge of equipment maintenance, storage, schematics, and diagrams -Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
