Tasks

-Be able to work with our technical leadership teams to inform the technical evolution of our Snowflake platform and its integration with our broader applications -Lead and support other teams' migration to Snowflake, providing technical guidance and platform solutions rather than direct data engineering -Understand what it takes to develop resilient, scalable and secure data platform solutions

What You Bring

-Our web products are developed using TypeScript and React -Have effective communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to scale engineering initiatives across teams adopting the Snowflake platform -Recognise that people build software and working with others is key to success, especially when enabling other teams to adopt new platform capabilities -Have expert level understanding of modern software engineering, from test automation to architectural principles, applied to data platform development -We implement GraphQL and RESTful APIs using NodeJS and NestJS -Have strong experience building web-based applications, supporting micro-services and deploying them in a cloud environment, with specific focus on data platform infrastructure -Redshift, DynamoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and S3 are our go to data stores -Our backend services are implemented in C# and Python -Have technical experience of complex platform projects and be able to act as a technical authority on Snowflake implementations -Have expert-level experience with Snowflake, including its architecture, capabilities, and how it integrates within a wider data platform ecosystem -Be a technical leader who can work across multiple teams to solve complex technical problems, particularly around Snowflake integration and platform adoption
