The Role
Overview
Inspect, repair, and maintain industrial hoists and related electrical/mechanical systems.

Tasks
-Ensure employer and customer specific safety procedures are followed at all times. -Read, interpret, and comprehend service manuals and manufacturers' diagrams. -Complete daily timesheets, inspection reports and work orders. -Review problems and associated information, develop and implement corrective actions. -Use computers to diagnose problems with electric and mechanical crane systems. -Resolve emergency breakdown situations and respond to after-hours service calls as required. -Maintain flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the needs and goals of the company. -Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications of Hoists.
What You Bring
-Ability to climb, as needed -Good mechanical background. -Ability to take the initiative, prioritize and manage time effectively. -Experience relating to the service of and working with 480V/3phase electrical including a working knowledge of electrical schematics and symbols. -Motor Control experience is an asset. -Valid state drivers' license -Experience with Alimak and Pega elevators a plus. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Professional certification is a plus -Skilled with diagnostics and troubleshooting complex electrical/electronic parts to component level. -Travel up to 50% -Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with PLC, Three-phase and AC/DC motors and drives. -Working knowledge of assembly, dismantling, and transportation of Hoists.
