Tasks

-Support customers through the planning, construction & commissioning phases of their projects. -Collaborate with global team with ongoing development of technology & models to best support SMA customers in Australia, New Zealand, and globally. -Support and mentor power systems professionals both in customer and consultancy organisations in application of SMA technology to utility-scale power stations. -Continual optimisation of model documentation to align with local regulations & requirements. -Support the sales & business development activities of the business with a deep understanding of the technology and its application to the Australian & New Zealand markets.

What You Bring

-Strong Computer Science skills -Working knowledge of PowerFactory -Experience with electricity grid planning and operation -Working knowledge of the connection process for Generators under the NER -Working knowledge of MATLAB Simulink -3+ years’ experience in Grid Modelling -Working knowledge of dynamic modelling using PSS®E & PSCAD -Experience with Australian NER (National Electricity Rules) and GPS (Generator Performance Standards) -Strong problem-solving & analytical skills -Strong Control System skills -Renewable energy industry experience in utility-scale BESS, PV or Wind -Tertiary Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Equivalent Tertiary Degree – specialising in Power Systems or Control Systems. -Experience with AEMO (Australian Energy Market Operator) model assessment and validation
