Tasks

-Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects -Visiting construction sites to monitor progress -Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas -Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients -Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions -Determining client requirements and developing reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents -Coordinate the structural work required to complete projects with designers, graphics, other disciplines, and project managers while maintaining schedules set and budgets established

What You Bring

-Experience with substation structures/foundations and transmission foundations -Experience in the design of substation structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by IEEE, ASCE, ACI, and AISC -PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire -Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent projects -Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members -Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE or MFAD (optional) -Proficient in concrete and structural steel design
