Overview

Support municipal water resources projects as an EIT engineer

Tasks

-Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling programs. -Support QA/QC processes by reviewing designs, reports, and calculations for accuracy and completeness. -Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning under the guidance of senior engineers. -Perform calculations and modeling for drainage systems, utilities, grading, and other civil engineering tasks. -Assist in the design and preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, and roadways. -Support the preparation of reports, technical memoranda, and other project documentation. -Ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. -Communicate effectively with internal teams, municipal clients, and regulatory agencies to coordinate project requirements. -Conduct fieldwork, including site assessments, data collection, and construction observation, as needed. -Assist in the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions.

What You Bring

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required, with intent to pursue PE licensure within a defined timeframe. -OHM Grad School -Understanding of zoning, subdivision regulations, and municipal design standards. -Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. -Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -3-5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, municipal infrastructure, or related fields (internship experience applicable). -Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, StormCAD) is a plus. -Knowledge of construction observation and field practices. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
