The Role

Overview

Manage electrical design, coordination, and delivery for MEP projects

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Attends and contributes to office, client, and project meetings. -Ensures all production adheres to Company quality standards. -Assures project’s quality control and quality assurance standards. -Participate s in internal project meetings on a regular basis, including being responsible for meeting minutes. -Performs site surveys and contributes to engineering studies. -Participates in the development of design drawings and technical specifications. -Performs technical and coordination check-review of project documentation and drawings. -Contributes to estimation of projects, planning, and construction feasibility. -Provides advisory information during the construction phase. -Follows up on issues with design and production staff to resolve problems and concerns. -Ensures project design and construction issues are addressed and resolved to the benefit and satisfaction of the owner/client. -Supports the development of project scope, scheduling and budget, and/or construction estimating. -Supports applicable requests as needed. -Coordinates with owner/client representatives. -Participates and ensures the quality of the work produced maintains high standards. -Performs engineering studies. -Ensures coordinated design on projects. -Participates in the monitoring of project production and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. -Functions as Project Engineer on assignments. -Acts as liaison between our client (owners/primes) and the firm.

What You Bring

-Proficient in project management concepts. -Basic understanding of multi-discipline systems and installation including MEP, fire protection and fire alarms, and low voltage/communications/data work. -Excellent written and spoken English. -Familiarity with software: AutoCAD,Revit, Microsoft Suite. -Good leadership skills. -Proven record of leadership, responsibility, and expertise, including decision making, flexibility, problem-solving, reasoning, strategic thinking, and accountability. -Ability to multi-task. -Understanding of underlying principles of A/E industry. -Knowledge of the applicable Codes and Standards as it pertains to your discipline, including building codes. -Ability to meet deadlines. -Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors. -Good communications and negotiations skills. -Ability to prioritize tasks.
