Tasks
-Conduct employee training on chemical hazards, safe handling procedures, and emergency response protocols. -Perform air sampling, noise monitoring, and other exposure assessments using specialized equipment to evaluate employee exposure levels. -Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to chemical safety and industrial hygiene. -Collaborate with EHS, production, and management teams to integrate industrial hygiene practices into daily operations. -Lead incident investigations related to chemical exposures and recommend corrective and preventive measures. -Analyze industrial hygiene data to identify potential health risks and develop effective control strategies such as engineering controls, administrative policies, and PPE recommendations. -Ensure compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOM), Process Safety Management (PSM), and other relevant regulations pertaining to hazardous chemicals. -Conduct thorough industrial hygiene assessments focused on chemical hazards, including airborne contaminants, toxic substances, and chemical handling processes in manufacturing settings. -Develop, implement, and manage chemical safety programs, including Hazard Communication, Chemical Hygiene Plans, and exposure control plans.

What You Bring
-Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field. -At least 5 years of experience in industrial hygiene within a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals. -Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, including HazCom, PSM, and other chemical safety standards. -Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. -Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent certification strongly preferred. -Will require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). -Proficiency with industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
