Overview
Provide contractual/commercial support for civil/marine projects, handling valuations and variations.

Tasks
-Assisting the Contract Manager with claims and/or liaison with external legal advisers -Attend both internal and external Progress and Commercial meetings -Advise and assist Project Management and site teams on contractual requirements and issues -Sub-Contract enquiries and evaluation and initial drafting of Sub-Contracts -Support the Contract Manager and estimating team with tender assessments and advice -Manage and assist with contract communications -Responsible for collecting records, preparing valuations, monthly payment applications and invoices for the Company’s projects. -Assist Cost Controllers with monthly financial reporting

What You Bring
-Ability to integrate into a diverse, often multi-national team and make your input count -Where you will work: You will be working predominantly at Westminster House in Fareham, Hampshire, UK. There will be some travel within the UK and Ireland with occasional requirements to work away from home on project sites, therefore having a full UK driving licence is essential. Whilst the role is based in Fareham, we offer up to 2 days a week hybrid working. -Full UK driving licence -Sub-contract management (administration, variations/CE’s, measurement and payment certification, etc.) -Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor -Degree in Quantity Surveying and/or RICS qualified preferred but not essential -Self-motivated and able to work on their initiative. -Good communication and written skills -Sound knowledge of civil engineering contracts, in particular, the NEC suite of contracts -Background in civil engineering. Marine civil engineering is preferred but not essential
