Tasks

-Drafts technical drawings -Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates -Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings -Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects -Ensures integration into overall design -Manages design budget for assigned projects -May mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers -Assists in developing packages for larger projects -Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues -Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior -May develop and finalize conceptual design for smaller projects -Provide review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solutions

We are presently searching for a Designer for our Seattle studio. The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administration, presentations, concept design through design development, and contract documents. -6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors -Advanced presentation skills -Working knowledge of contract administration -Advanced sketching and rendering skills -Advanced Revit skills -Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills -Advanced knowledge of space planning -Intermediate MS Office Suite skills -Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements -Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes -Extensive with the concepts of furniture layout -Advanced architecture detailing skills -Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted -Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures -Working knowledge of path of travel requirements
