Associate Cost Manager overseeing full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, especially water sector.

Tasks

The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase. -Normally receives general direction/instructions on new assignments. -Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments. -Operates and manages land-information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports. -Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface. -Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports. -Day to day client point of contact for projects. Successful delivery of projects, leading to further repeat clients and their business. -Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines.

What You Bring

-10 years post college experience -Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation would be preferable. -Clean driving licence and car ownership -Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes -Experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion. -Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus. -Good understanding of NEC contracts and experience administrating NEC3/4 forms of contract -Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying -An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization. -Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes. -Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key. -Previous experience with a consultancy -Cost Management experience in the Water Sector would be a specific requirement.
