Tasks
You will be responsible for providing on-site representation and construction services for multi-discipline construction projects in the water and wastewater sector. Project locations will be in the Windsor-Essex area. -Communicating regularly with the Associated Engineering, Client and Contractor project teams -Complying with and working within COR certified environment and performing all duties in accordance with those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable legislation. -Engaging in marketing, business development and proposal preparation. -Managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, inspection, client liaison, and the Company’s employees assigned to the projects. -Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices. -Overseeing the construction of various engineering projects. -Engaging in daily contract administration duties as well as site inspection duties to monitor Contractor progress, workmanship, and conformance with the contract documents. -Serving as Associated Engineering’s Representative in communicating with the public and other stakeholders through the duration of the construction contract -Inspection and conformance of construction works with contract documents and engineering design.

What You Bring
-Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects. -Experience working for a consulting engineering firm and/or a construction firm is an asset. -Valid construction safety certificates – working at heights, confined space, WHMIS, First-Aid, CPR level A, and/or automated external defibrillator (AED) training is an asset. -Experience with preparing engineering sketches, technical specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation. -Familiarity with local building / construction codes. -Registered as a Professional Engineer with PEO or OACETT, or eligible for registration, is an asset. -Experience with contract administration and on-site inspection principles, practices, and techniques. -Experience with monitoring and coordinating activities on a construction project including liaising with the Client, Contractors, Approvals Officers, and Public as required. -Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. -Valid driver's license. -Experience with start-up and commissioning of mechanical systems, as well as post-construction warranty services. -Experience with preparing various contract administration paperwork including agendas, minutes, daily logs, photographic records, request for information, testing reports, change orders, deficiency lists, construction certificates. -10+ years of progressive experience in construction role and 5+ years in the water or waste-water industry. -Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and the latest version of AutoCAD. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills including use of email and videoconferencing technologies. -Knowledge of construction products, materials, and equipment. -Experience with multi-discipline design coordination and construction is an asset. -Proven organizational, planning, and time management skills. -Experience with interpretation of specifications, plans, and regulations. -Experience with construction of structural components (Structural steel and concrete) in brown field projects -Experience with project scheduling computer software in assessing construction progress compared to tendered schedule. -Undergraduate degree in Civil, Process or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. -Experience in water / wastewater treatment facility construction is an asset. -------OR----- Diploma in Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent field from an accredited college. -Demonstrated leadership skills and collaborative approach to work as a team member to provide solutions to construction issues. -Familiarity with applicable CCDC Contracts. -Knowledge of construction contract interpretation and construction acts.
