You will have natural attention to details and drive to support the business across the legal aspects. You will have support from the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and external legal resources and suppliers as required. You will be part of the global multi-disciplinary team of Geovert’s business. The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for supporting the business with all legal needs to protect, partner and empower for sustainable growth and you will be working with the CEO, COO and General Managers to manage legal risk within the business, providing broad ranging corporate and commercial legal support. This is a rewarding and challenging standalone role in a thriving privately owned company. -Drafting, reviewing and updating a range of commercial contracts, with clients, partners and service providers -Advising the business in relation to property and intellectual property issues -Supporting the launch of new products and capabilities -Drafting and reviewing internal policies and procedures to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance -Providing legal advice and consultation to senior management in relation to a variety of corporate, commercial, legal, licensing and regulatory issues -Providing legal advice and consultation to senior management in relation to data governance, privacy and cyber security -Managing the corporate insurance program for the business globally, including policy renewals -Drafting, reviewing and updating customer terms and conditions and policies including the privacy policy -Working with the Global Executive Team and in relation to key strategic and commercial initiatives

What You Bring

-Qualified to practise law in Australia with a current practicing certificate -Strong commercial and corporate experience -8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience -In-house legal experience in the area of Construction law and/or Construction related industries – front end & back end highly regarded -Ability to work autonomously, efficiently and seamlessly in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently across the business, alongside corporate functions and with other stakeholders. -Ability to communicate effectively with directors, senior management and other employees from all parts of the Company -Experience a collaborative, multicultural, and down-to-earth team environment where your ideas for improvement are welcomed and valued. -Commercially savvy with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal -Strong drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills
