Tasks

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help both their team and company meet production standards. They normally will lead a team of 10-15 team members. -Provides coaching and corrective feedback timely as well as administers disciplinary processes up to and including termination, as necessary -Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do -Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace -Assist with troubleshooting and solving production issues -Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards -Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution -Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed -Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff -Follows, and ensures others follow, all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company -Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement and operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training -This job involves the following physical demands: walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items -Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved -Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance, to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses -Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members

What You Bring

-Demonstrated leadership in safety & environmental compliance -Ability to effectively resolve conflict -High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred -Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously -Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed, up to 40lbs -Minimum one year of supervisory experience required, manufacturing environment preferred -Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal -Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel -Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes -Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees -Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills -Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
