Tasks
-Incorporate innovation in design and delivery. -Train, mentor and develop staff and support career growth opportunities for staff. -Comply with company’s safety awareness program and policies. -Coordinate all structural engineering technical aspects of pursuits and projects with other disciplines and in support of the Project/Design Manager. -Support marketing coordination and proposal preparation. Participate in proposal interviews. -Established contractor client relationships. -Ensure that QA/QC procedures are being implemented and ensure the technical quality of deliverables. Lead responses to client’s comments on structural design elements of the deliverables. -Assure conformance with contractual obligations by ensuring that design documents are reviewed and approved prior to release to the client. -Ensure the structural design is completed in accordance with the contract guidelines and design documents. -Establish structural scope, work plan and work schedule in support of the Project/Design Manager. -Interface with contractor clients through progression of the design deliverables. -Manage groups of engineers, designers and/or specialists towards development of structural design documents and contract deliverables with minimal guidance or supervision. -Anticipate potential budget and schedule impacts and initiate plans for alternative actions.

What You Bring
-Experience with alternative delivery methods or projects with early contractor involvement. -Ten (10) or more years of experience as engineer of record or structural discipline lead. -Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar field + 10 years of relevant design experience in bridge engineering, design and analysis or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Professional Engineer (PE) license and be willing to obtain reciprocity in the jurisdiction of the projects. -Recent Design-Build experience serving as Design Manager or Structural Discipline Lead Engineer. -Twenty (20) years of related design experience. -Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
