The Role

Overview

Drive fence truck, load/unload materials, install fences, coordinate crew, ensure safety.

Tasks

-Record information such as personnel, production and operational data on specified forms and submit to Fence Manager at end of each shift -Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling -Check loads to ensure that truck has all material (fence panels, poles, etc.) and tools needed to complete service tickets -Coordinate the workload and the efforts of the Fence Helper. Examine and inspect work progress, equipment & work site to ensure that specifications are met -Train Fence Helper on proper installation procedures, safety protocol, etc -Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls -Conduct daily pre-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately -Speak clearly so customers can understand -Repeat the same movements -Conduct daily inspection of all tools assigned to the truck to ensure safety and proper working condition -Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally -Operate fence vehicle to and from pre-designated work sites -Meet with site superintendent (or other designated representative) to confirm work order. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc -Sit while driving and stand while servicing products -Unload all fence materials and install fence panels, with appropriate tools, at work site in accordance with pre-determined specifications. Locate, measure and mark location for placement of panels & installation

What You Bring

-Understand the speech of another person -Valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL Class C). -Crouch and squat -Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills. -Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them -Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion -Ability to meet deadlines. -Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head -Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders -Two years of general labor experience. -Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
