Tasks
Employees must avoid any relationship or activity that might impair, or even appear to impair, their ability to make objective and fair decisions when performing their jobs. To avoid conflicts of interest, employees are prohibited from performing any services for clients or perceived clients during nonworking time that are normally performed by ORC, including the sale of real estate. -Identify all required permits for electric transmission and distribution projects -Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements -Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records -Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards

What You Bring
We’re Looking For Someone Who Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This employee is required to occasionally travel to government buildings which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. Location: Phoenix, AZ (candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of ORC's Phoenix, AZ client office) -Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines -Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks -Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills -Minimum of two (2) years of Utility Permitting or a related field -Can adapt to new systems and software environments -Valid Driver’s License -Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook -Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems -Thrives in a fast-paced administrative setting -Provides strong customer service experience -Has excellent written and verbal communication skills -Is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
