Tasks

-Design structures of a variety of materials including steel, concrete, wood and masonry. -Analyze existing structures for new uses and design repairs/reinforcement where required for existing conditions. -Design of building systems, structural elements and connections under the supervision of a professional engineer by performing engineering calculations/analyse -Coordinate with other disciplines including architectural, mechanical and civil regarding the projects design. -Perform site visits, inpsections and review of shop drawings -Prepare detailed design calculations and construction drawings -Provide construction administration assistance in responses to

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must -EIT/FE certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year is preferred -Ability to apply structural engineering principles to design of various elements -Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college -Master’s degree in structural engineering -Strong all-around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles
