Tasks

-Assess implications of Process Design choices and help drive operational strategies. -Collaborate with Process Development team members to review and assess outputs. -Development of steady-state and dynamic process models for new and existing process designs -Perform simulation-based analysis of complex real-world operation of commercial scale plant. -Support wider Engineering Technology team with ad-hoc analysis as required. -Interact with external suppliers to facilitate integration of components into the process design and investigate their performance. -Present to key stakeholders to clearly explain analyses and results and succinctly document work undertaken.

What You Bring

-Sound report writing skills and ability to prepare, comprehend and communicate engineering and technological documents. -Experience in industrial gases industry an advantage. -Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. -1-3 years' experience or a PhD. -Strong attention to detail -Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer and turbomachinery. -Experience working on projects relating to energy or thermal energy storage industry an advantage. -High level of integrity and diplomacy. -A track record working in industrial research and development, with experience communicating results to a multi-discipline audience. -Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering -An understanding of FEA and multi-physics modelling. -Process modelling experience (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim etc.) -Comfortable learning new simulation tools. -Experience performing 1D and 2D heat transfer modelling in Python, MATLAB, or equivalent. -A PhD or equivalent in Chemical Engineering.
